UMB Big Bash, June 19, 2014

Big Show

UMB Big Bash is not your typical charity event. It’s a concert fundraiser that is more about having a great time for a great cause than about hob-knobbing. It’s more jeans than suits, more chips than caviar. The goal is to have BIG fun raising BIG money for important causes impacting our community today.

About Darius Rucker
Singer-songwriter Darius Rucker is a GRAMMY ® Award-winning multi-platinum solo country artist and is the former front man of the musical group Hootie & the Blowfish. Rucker took home his most recent award for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2014 Grammy awards on January 26, 2014.

He wrote ten of the twelve tracks on True Believers - ranging from the feel-good sing-along "Radio" to the sophisticated narrative of "Shine."

Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, Rucker has had a truly remarkable few years. In 2008, he released Learn to Live; the album's first single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," made him the first African American with a Number One country song since Charley Pride in 1983. It was followed by two more singles that topped the chart - "It Won't Be Like This For Long" and "Alright" - and earned him the New Artist award from the Country Music Association. His 2010 follow-up, Charleston, SC 1966, included two more Number Ones, "Come Back Song" and "This." Learn more at
